Who are your God sisters? Do you have any? How many? I am here to tell you that they are essential. I am not talking about the God sister you grew up with (your mom’s best friend’s daughter). I am talking about the women in your life that hold you down spiritually. We all need them! She is the type of friend you can be real with and disclose life’s highs and lows. She doesn’t judge you because to be honest she is flawed to and she is comfortable telling you how messy she is too. She keeps you grounded in your faith and accountable to who God says you are!

I pray that each of you have a few faithful friends you can actual call God sister. You don’t need a rack of them – as a matter of fact too many and you may spread yourself a little thin. A faithful few will suffice!

If you have a moment, please write a little list in your faith planner about your God sisters. You can write a prayer to God thanking him for them and that you are able to be a God sister as well. You also can call each of them and let them know how you feel. YES, I said call them lol. It is starting to be a rare occasion to call one another and express our feelings. Your convo can be short and sweet.

Simply Stated:

Hey such-n-such! I was just reading this awesome blog post by Kelly and thought to give you a call to tell you how much our friendship means to me. You have been such a great God sister! I love you.

Then you can continue to talk about all the memories yall share where she has been there for you and vice versa! Cool.

Now what do you do if you really don’t have any God sister? Find one! There are plenty of ladies in our FB group that share a common interest with you and those make the best friends. Yes, cyber God sister matter too! Other than that you will have to be open to meeting people at your church by joining groups and being more active in your community.
